| The Irish Timber Trades Association has its roots in the 1900's. The Association consists of the main Importers, Distributors and Stockists of wood products throughout Ireland. |

| Through its sub committiees the ITTA are involved in Import Regulations, Advertising, Promotion and liaising with the various Port Authorities. | |||
| The ITTA regularly honour the achievements in the Design, Restoration and Innovative use of wood in Ireland through our award schemes. The ITTA promotes the good use of wood and supports wood specific productions such as "Woodspec" | |||
| Together with the Institute of Wood Science the ITTA has developed training courses which relate specifically to products and specifications unique to the Irish Market. | |||
